The candidates willing to attain B schools and colleges under AICTE, have to surmount the Common Management Admission Test or more commonly known as CMAT. Graduates with 50% from any discipline or final year graduation students from an UGC recognized university can write CMAT. The aggregate is 45% for the people belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and other quotas. It is required to score a high percentile to get admission in the PGCM, PGCM or Executive category. It is always beneficial to go for a detailed analysis of the recent years’ question papers to get a comprehensive idea on the syllabus. CMAT MBA 2013 of the February session is over, but the September session is due in the few days. A student needs to have a very clear cut idea over the syllabus and question pattern along with regular practice in order to secure a great score in CMAT. CMAT mock test can help a student to understand the flawed areas in order to improvise those chapters. With proper planning, regular study, practice, mock tests and doubt clearing sessions, achieving a great percentile in CMAT is not a big deal. There are four sections in the CMAT question paper- Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning, Language comprehension and general knowledge. As it is clearly evident that the number of questions is always higher than the given time, it is always necessary to achieve the time management skill through rigorous practice. CMAT mock test helps a student from two ways. Firstly it highlights the weak areas of study and secondly, by enhancing the speed and efficiency of the students. If a student has got sufficient time for CMAT preparation, it is needed to proceed in a well planned manner with clear conviction over the fundamentals.In the quantitative section, the grip of the student on the high school level Mathematics is tested. A great degree of practice along with clear concept on the formula is needed for clearing the test. A student must devote at least two hours per day for the maths practice since it will fetch great marks to a student. In the logical reasoning section, an examinee’s logical thinking ability and power to discern a matter logically is tested. A student can go for small CMAT mock test for testing the progress of each section as well. Learning the short cut tricks for solving problems in the quaint and reasoning section is hugely necessary. There are different specialized books on the English grammar and language to prepare for CMAT MBA 2013 English section. Going through good prose and English newspaper is necessary for this section. Following different magazines for the current affairs is helpful for the GK section.
